Donated books may be used for circulation and story time in school and public libraries; for remedial reading programs in schools, after-school programs, and community centers; and for story time in home daycares and daycare centers.

IGT After School Advantage Program

The International Game Technology strives to address the needs of underprivileged and at-risk children aged 5 through 18 with a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience during the critical after-school hours in a safe environment. Grants are intended for the establishment of supervised computer centers that offer a technology-based educational environment in which children can learn basic computer skills and use these resources to complete educational projects.

Enhancing Student Mathematics Learning through the Use of Tools and Technology Grants

Sponsored by Isabelle P. Rucker Fund and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics

Enhancing Student Mathematics Learning through the Use of Tools and Technology Grants are awarded to classroom teachers in prekindergarten through grade 12 to encourage innovative use of technology and other tools for effective teaching and meaningful student learning. Funding may be used for books, calculators, tablets, computers, or related equipment, as well as professional development in the use of the designated tools and technology.

Deadline: Applications are due May 3, 2019.

The David and Lucile Packard Foundation offers funding that supports access to health care and early learning opportunities that help young children be healthy and ready for school.
