“Light the Way: Outreach to the Underserved” Grants are offered to libraries to conduct outreach programs to underserved populations through new programs or the expansion of existing programs. Preference is given to programs serving children with learning or physical differences, ESL speakers, children from nontraditional school environments or in foster care, children in the juvenile justice system, or those who need accommodation services.

Enhancing Student Mathematics Learning through the Use of Tools and Technology Grants

Enhancing Student Mathematics Learning through the Use of Tools and Technology Grants are awarded to classroom teachers in prekindergarten through grade 12 to encourage innovative use of technology and other tools for effective teaching and meaningful student learning. Eligible grant expenses include materials such as books, calculators, tablets, computers, or related equipment, as well as professional development in the use of the designated tools and technology.

Community Action Grants

The AAUW offers Community Action Grants that provide funding for innovative programs or non-degree research projects that promote education and equality for women and girls. Special consideration is given to projects focused on kindergarten through grade 12 and community college girls’ and women’s achievement in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, and to those projects that seek community partners such as local schools or school districts, businesses, and other community-based organizations.
