Optimize Your GetEdFunding Grant Search
GetEdFunding has updated its Custom Search to help you find the funding for your needs. Read our tips to make the most of our custom search feature:
Narrow Geographic Results
When searching for funding, start close to home. Search for funding available in your own state. Choosing your state will include regional grants that are available in multiple states, but it won’t include national grant opportunities. If you are looking for funding that is available nationally, choose “National” in the dropdown menu.
Find Funding For Individual Educators
If you’re looking for funding opportunities specifically for teachers, librarians, or other educators, select Adult as the grade level, and not the grade level in which an individual educator is working. This provides results that include professional development, awards and honors, fellowships and adult scholarships, and travel grants to attend conferences or events. The focus area section offers more detailed options, such as Professional Development or Scholarships/Fellowships that are specific to continuing education for educators.
Funding for Each School Type
GetEdFunding has opportunities for all educators. Find more private or parochial school opportunities by selecting Private as your institution eligibility. If you are in a charter school, choose Charter; this includes both public and private charter schools. Nontraditional schools and homeschools are included under Other.
Narrow Results
Avoid multiple selections within the same category, such as selecting multiple focus areas or 21st century themes/skills, to narrow the results of your search.
Save Your Search
You can save any search you perform. Just click on Save This Search and your criteria will be saved and the search will be updated with new opportunities that match the criteria when they become available. Once you saved your search, you can also add notes to each search, reminding yourself about deadlines, required documentation, or other specifics.
