Are You Still Looking for Summer Funding?
School is out and the holidays have begun, but are you still looking to fund out-of-school projects, camps, or learning activities for your students? We compiled a few opportunities that are still open to applications.
The Redwoods Group Foundation offers funding for safety programs and projects. One of their focus areas is aquatic safety and drowning prevention. Funding may be used to fund swimming lessons for at-risk populations and non-swimmers, as well as recruitment and training of lifeguards. Other areas of interest include abuse prevention and transportation safety.
Applications are accepted year-round.
Kars4Kids supports educational and developmental programs for children and youth. Funding is available for out-of-school educational programming, summer and recreation camps, and cultural activities during the school holidays.

Funding that specifically targets women and girls is available from the Monticello College Foundation. The foundation awards grants for summer internships for women, as well as STEM and science camps for middle and high school girls.
Applications are accepted year-round.
The D’Addario Music Foundation offers grants that increase access to music education. The foundation has previously funded after-school music programming for children in urban, underserved communities; workshops and summer camps for children at all musical skill levels; and youth academies with musical instruction and experiences in writing, recording, and performing.
Applications are due July 31.
Start a Snowball, Inc. is dedicated to supporting programs that engage in community services activities. The foundation has funded STEM summer camps for minority girls, writing camps for children, and media and broadcasting projects.
Applications are accepted year-round.
The Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs Foundation makes Manufacturing Camp Grants to trade schools and community or technical colleges to host summer camp programs for girls and boys aged 12 through 16. Summer camps are a successful way of introducing middle and high school students to the high-tech career choices available to them in today’s automated manufacturing industry.
Applications are accepted July 1 through December 1.
