Woodrow Wilson STEM Teaching Fellowships

Sponsored by The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation

The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship program supports teaching certification and a master’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) teaching field for career changers and recent graduates with STEM backgrounds. Fellows receive a stipend to complete a master’s program at a participating university, along with three years of mentoring, and commit to teach for three years in a designated high-need urban or rural secondary school.

Deadline: January 31, 2018

 

Team America Rocketry Challenge

Sponsored by Aerospace Industries Association and National Association of Rocketry

The Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) strives to inspire the next generation of engineers and technicians to join the aerospace industry. The challenge is an extracurricular, hands-on, project-based learning program incorporating aerospace-specific science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Teams of three to 10 students design, build, and fly a rocket. Each year a unique task is included in the challenge.

Deadline: Teams must register between September 1 and December 1, 2018

 

Conservation Education Grants

Sponsored by SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund

The SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund (SWBGCF) makes grants in four priority areas: conservation education, species research, habitat protection, and animal rescue and rehabilitation. Educational Grants are focused on spending time outside to connect with nature and identifying and supporting potential conservation leaders.

Deadline: April 20 and November 20, annually

 

Classroom Grants

AIAA

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics offers Classroom Grants to promote aerospace education activities in classrooms from kindergarten through grade 12. The program encourages development of innovative aerospace activities within the prescribed curriculum.

The McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation offers Academic Enrichment Grants designed to develop classroom and extracurricular programs that improve student learning. The foundation considers proposals that foster understanding, deepen students’ knowledge, and provide opportunities to expand awareness of the world around them.

Deadline: January 15 through April 15, annually
