Do you make New Year’s resolutions? At the top of many people’s lists are to be more active, exercise more, and eat healthy. If you’re interested in applying those same resolutions to your students, check out these grants to help get your class moving and eating well in 2018.
The Lift Life Foundation’s mission is to help provide young people with tools to improve their fitness levels and boost self-worth. The foundation offers high schools across the United States with the opportunity to have their school weight room transformed with brand-new equipment.

KaBOOM! Community Partner Program
KaBOOM! is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that all kids get a childhood filled with the balanced and active play needed to thrive. The company offers community partnerships with the goal of getting children and families more active nationwide.

Road Runners Club of America encourages the sport of running by assisting youth running programs with Kids Run the Nation grants. The goal of the program is to have children running regularly, at least once a week for multiple weeks. Programs may be new or existing, structured for either participation or competition, and must be open for both boys and girls.
Applications open August 1, 2018.
Good Sports is a nonprofit organization that partners with sporting goods manufacturers to provide equipment, apparel, and footwear to programs in need that engage disadvantaged young people in sports activities.

Roller Skating Association International
The Roller Skating Foundation promotes physical fitness and building self-esteem among school age children and projects to prevent substance abuse. The foundation makes grants to support roller-skating. Activities may include trips to roller-skating centers, as well as innovative projects designed to improve physical fitness or education.
Applications are due January 10, 2018.
The Chef Ann Foundation provides resources and grants that help schools offer students healthier food choices and educate about nutrition and healthy lifestyles. There are a number of programs supporting an increase in fruit and vegetable consumption in schools.
