Classroom Technology Grants

Educators of America, Inc. offers Classroom Technology Grants to promote student achievement and technology integration. Funding allows schools to furnish a classroom or entire building with needed technology tools with the goal of enhancing students’ skills, effective teaching, and instructional methods. Grants may be used to purchase technology such as web-connected devices; electronic whiteboards; tablets; and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics lab equipment.
Deadline: Applications are accepted year-round.
National Giving Program
Sponsored by The Walmart Foundation
The Walmart Foundation strives to empower low-income people to increase quality of life. The National Giving Program allows the foundation to work strategically with organizations across one or more states to address social issues strongly aligned with its focus areas. The foundation requires that all funds be directed to programs that fall within the focus areas of hunger relief and healthy eating, sustainability, women’s economic empowerment, or career opportunity.
Deadline: Letters of Inquiry are accepted year-round.
Health, Wellness, and Physical Education Grants

The Names Family Foundation makes grants in the areas of health, wellness, and physical education to nonprofit organizations serving Tacoma and Pierce County, Washington. The foundation has funded fitness centers, athletic facilities, and outdoor playgrounds. Previous grants were issued to fund programs serving at-risk youth, after-school educational activities, athletic facilities at high schools, and health and life skills programs.
Deadline: August 31, annually
The Grable Foundation Grants

The Grable Foundation is focused on improving the lives of children in southwestern Pennsylvania. The foundation awards grants in the focus areas of early childhood, public schools, out-of-school time, families, and community. The foundation supports early childhood learning opportunities in high-quality settings, led by caring and well-trained adults, as well as support for parents to encourage their children’s development. In the area of prekindergarten through grade 12 education, the foundation seeks programs that ignite students’ interests, stretch their abilities, and set the path toward a successful future. The foundation supports out-of-school opportunities to stretch young bodies and eager minds in a fun and safe environment, such as after-school, summer, and mentoring programs.

Music Performance Attendance Grants
Sponsored by Sharon Gewirtz Kids to Concerts Fund
The Sharon Gewirtz Kids to Concerts Fund provides grants of $500 for children and youth to attend live performances of classical music and other related programming. Classical music education (vocal or instrumental) must be the key component of any music program requesting a grant. Priority is given to requests for funds to purchase tickets for specific live classical music performances. Stipends and performance fees for guest instructors and musicians are also considered.
Deadline: June 30, annually
