$2,500 Grant Program
Sponsored by Farmers Group, Inc., Thank America’s Teachers

Farmers Insurance Thank Americas Teachers

Through the Thank America’s Teachers, Farmers Group, Inc. is awarding grants of $2,500 each to teachers across America that can be put towards classroom supplies through AdoptAClassroom.org. Before applying, teachers have received a thank you through Thank America’s Teachers. The contest is open to full-time teachers in kindergarten through grade 12 schools.

American Honda Foundation Education Grants

The American Honda Foundation supports education with a specific focus on the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM); the environment; job training; and literacy. It engages in grant making that reflects the basic tenets, beliefs, and philosophies of Honda companies, which are characterized by the following qualities: imaginative, creative, youthful, scientific, humanistic, and innovative.

Deadlines: February 1 and August 1, annually

Aflac’s philanthropic efforts can be seen in the areas of health, education, youth, and the arts through out the communities in which it lives and does business. Through its Charitable Contributions Grant, organizations can apply under one of the following areas of need: children and youth, education, environmental, health and human services, civic and community, arts and culture, and minority.

YouthTouch STEM Grants
Sponsored by Goldenrod Research Corporation

The Goldenrod Research Corporation supports hands-on technology in the classroom through its YouthTouch Grant. Hands-on technology education tools bring mathematics and science to life for schools that then become pilot or referral sites for YouthTouch. The grant program provides an opportunity to affordably integrate hands-on robotics and fluid power technology into grades 3 through 8 classrooms.

Toshiba America Grant Program for 6-12 Science and Math Educators

Toshiba America Foundation

Toshiba America Foundation accepts applications from teachers who are passionate about making science and mathematics more engaging for their students. The foundation seeks to support teachers by providing funds to support classroom projects. The foundation strongly encourages projects planned and led by individual teachers or teams of teachers for their own classrooms. Successful projects tap into the natural curiosity of students, enable students to frame their own scientific questions, and incorporate the expertise of community partners. Applications must be for project-based learning.

Deadlines: Applications are accepted year-round. Requests for grants of more than $5,000 are due August 1 and February 1, annually.
